A suspect wanted in three states was arrested during a traffic stop, Russellville Police announced on Sunday.
Billy Joe Williams faced nearly a dozen charges in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi, including robbery, assault, and exploitation of an elderly person.
Russellville Police reported that Williams tried to hide on the passenger floorboard of the vehicle during the stop and then attempted to flee. He was quickly apprehended.
Billy Joe Williams is charged with:
– Obstructing Justice Using a False Identity
– Forgery Second Degree
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth)
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
– Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement
– Fugitive From Justice
Police also arrested the driver, Tabitha Goins, charging her with hindering prosecution in the second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
