Lottery officials have confirmed that the $139 million Powerball jackpot has been won by a lucky ticket sold in Ohio.
According to the national Powerball site, five winning numbers and the Powerball were matched in the drawing held on Wednesday, July 3. The prize, which has a cash option of $66.5 million, was won by the lucky ticket holder.
The upcoming drawing on Saturday, July 6th, offers a prize of around $20 million, along with a cash option of roughly $9.5 million.
According to the Ohio Lottery site, the numbers that emerged as winners were 2, 26, 33, 55, and 57, with a Powerball of 22.
A pair of tickets that were sold in California have hit the jackpot, winning nearly $400,000. Additionally, a ticket sold in Pennsylvania has also struck it rich, netting a cool $1 million.
According to lottery officials, over 388,000 individuals in the United States were fortunate enough to win prizes that ranged from $4 to $50,000.
