It seems that southern Arizona experienced some rain on Thursday, and it’s likely that this wet weather will persist throughout the weekend.
According to Glenn Laeder, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Tucson, the majority of the showers and storms are expected to affect the southern and eastern portions of Tucson, continuing through Sunday.
Despite the relentless triple-digit temperatures that have besieged Tucson throughout the entire month of June, there may be a way to escape the scorching heat.
Laeder commented on the pristine views from the top of Mt. Lemon, remarking on the pleasant daytime temperatures that range from the low to mid-70s. However, he also warned of the potential for thunderstorms in the higher terrain, with chances of occurrence every day.
According to Laeder, the streak of triple-digit days may come to an end by the first of next week because of the presence of moisture and clouds.
