A woman in Philadelphia’s Frankford neighborhood was shot four times during an argument over loud music at a property in the early hours of Monday, according to officials. Police have now made an arrest in connection with the incident.
The Philadelphia police responded to a shooting report in the Frankford section on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m. The incident occurred at a property located along the 1800 block of Kinsey Street.
Philadelphia Police Department Captain Andrew DiSanto reported that officers discovered a 31-year-old woman inside the doorway of a first-floor property. She had sustained four gunshot wounds.
Officials provided an update in the morning, stating that the woman sustained gunshot wounds to her stomach, groin, and left arm.
After being transported to a nearby hospital, DiSanto stated that she underwent immediate surgery. As of Monday morning, authorities reported that she is now in stable condition.
According to him, the officers present at the scene were informed that the person believed to have shot at the woman was still inside the building on the second floor.
According to DiSanto, the police believe that the shooting occurred during a heated argument about loud music. The suspected shooter, a 30-year-old man, allegedly fired his weapon down a stairwell, injuring the woman involved in the incident.
