Layne’s Chicken Fingers is set to keep growing in 2025, with plans to open nine new locations in just 90 days. This marks a significant milestone for the fast-food chain as it continues to offer franchise opportunities and expand its reach.
According to a press release, Layne’s success in 2024 was fueled by strategic market expansions and a strong focus on supporting its franchisees. The company has already opened new locations in Pittsburgh, Houston, and Wisconsin and is now looking to enter Ohio and expand further within Texas.
“In addition to the footprint and financial growth we’ve seen this year, we’ve done some important work in laying the foundation for our future,” said Samir Wattar, COO of Layne’s Chicken Fingers. “We’ve added multiple skilled professionals to the leadership team to ensure we have teams in place and ready to support our owners as we grow rather than trying to build a support structure reactively.”
“We’ve been very, very busy,” Wattar added. “We’re opening restaurants in new markets like Arkansas, and we have stores under construction in multiple Texas cities.”
Since 2021, Layne’s Chicken Fingers has consistently doubled in size every year, marking an impressive trajectory.
Since 2021, Layne’s franchise has doubled in size, according to a press release announcing the company’s ongoing growth. The franchise now operates 21 restaurants, with hundreds more in development. In 2024, the company saw a 9% increase in same-store sales and over a 7% rise in guest count.
Wattar shared that the company is currently in a phase focused on supporting its existing owners. “These entrepreneurs have made a huge investment in us, and they trust us and our guidance,” he explained.
He went on to say, “Much of our attention is on properly growing our teams and continuing to strategize on strengthening the business. However, we’re also looking forward to strategic expansion with qualified restaurant professionals in key markets.”
Wattar also added, “Our goal is to sign 12 new franchisees, all with multi-unit development deals in these key markets. As we grow, we’re always searching for ways to measure the success of our efforts. The performance we’ve seen this year, along with what’s ahead for next year, is proof of that.”
Founded in 1994 in College Station, Texas, Layne’s Chicken Fingers gained a loyal following for its small-town charm, friendly service, iconic chicken fingers, and secret sauce. As the company expands, it continues to build on the values that have made it a favorite among fast-food lovers for over 30 years.
