According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, five individuals involved in drug trafficking organizations have admitted their guilt in federal drug and drug-related offenses.
Rito Alvarado Gomez admitted to being involved in a drug conspiracy. Jose Alberto Alvarado Gomez, Ricardo Villeda, and Iris Yoselin Luna-Herrera admitted to distributing methamphetamine. Ana Isabel Frayre Barboza admitted to having knowledge of a felony and not reporting it.
From 2018 to around March 2024, the defendants, along with others, were accused of conspiring to distribute methamphetamine in the Eastern District of Oklahoma and other locations.
The DEA investigation, in collaboration with several other agencies, brought forth the charges.
All the defendants, except for Barboza, will continue to be held in the custody of the U.S. Marshals until their sentencing. Barboza has been granted permission to remain on bond until the sentencing.
