Six individuals have been charged with production and distribution of counterfeit currency in Ohio, including the local area.
Recently released body cam footage has shown the moments leading up to a Dayton police officer striking a K9 during an arrest. The video shows the officer and his K9 partner approaching a suspect who was hiding in a backyard. The suspect was compliant and surrendered to the officer, but the K9 continued to bark and lunge at the suspect. The officer then struck the K9 with his leash in an attempt to control him. The incident has sparked controversy and raised questions about the use of force in police K9 units.
