Five people from Iowa and Wisconsin have been charged with investment fraud after selling securities without the required registration in Iowa.
The individuals charged are Stanley Pophal of Wausau, Wisconsin; David Halvorson of Galesville, Wisconsin; Casey Halvorson of McGregor, Iowa; Gary Halvorson of McGregor, Iowa; and Debra Mink of Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin.
The five people charged held investment meetings to offer securities in Allamakee, Winneshiek, Mitchell, Wapello, Clayton, and Madison counties.
Participants were not aware that the State of Iowa required them to register the securities they were obtaining.
