Spencer Wright, a rodeo star, faced a tragic loss as his three-year-old son passed away on Sunday. The little one was left in critical condition following a toy tractor accident two weeks ago.
According to a close friend of the Wright family who spoke to People, they had to make the heart-wrenching decision to let Levi go.
According to Wright’s wife, Kallie, the family had a conversation with leading neurologists and determined that he would not be able to recover from the accident. This led them to confront their greatest fear and accept the reality of the situation.
On social media, Kallie expressed that Levi had shown them just enough to allow them the time they needed to prepare for the inevitable. They had hoped that his progress was a sign of his desire to continue fighting, but now they understand that he was simply giving them the space they needed to come to terms with his passing.
“I mentioned to you earlier how thoughtful and considerate my baby is, and I genuinely feel that he did that for us.”
As reported earlier, on May 21st at around 6 PM, Levi Wright, a 3-year-old boy, accidentally drove his toy tractor into a nearby river, according to the Beaver County Sheriff’s Office in Utah.
Levi was swiftly rescued from the water, and emergency procedures were administered on-site to save his life before he was transported by air to a hospital in the vicinity. Initially, it was determined that Levi had suffered brain death, but the family remained optimistic throughout his struggle until the very end.
Starting his rodeo career in high school, Spencer has achieved significant success, including winning the 2014 World Championship and the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show in Texas. Despite being ranked 35th in the world last year, Spencer has managed to earn several titles throughout his career.
