Two Iowa men were sentenced to federal prison after conspiring to distribute fentanyl.
According to court records, Shannon D. Robertson, 44, of Chicago, Illinois, and Des Moines, and Earl Sandeleo Galtney, 44, of Cedar Rapids, sold fentanyl across the Des Moines area in 2023 and 2024.
Robertson and Galtney obtained the fentanyl in Chicago. Law officials discovered more than 75 grams of the chemical at Robertson’s home in May 2024.
The two men are being held accountable for more than 750 grams of fentanyl.
Robertson was sentenced to 142 months in federal prison, followed by four years of supervised release.
Galtney was sentenced to 125 months in federal prison and four years of supervised release.
Both are ineligible for parole because the system is federal.
Ashley Lynn Andrews, 37, of Des Moines, is their co-defendant and is slated to be sentenced on July 1, 2025.
