Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz has announced two Connecticut women have been extradited from New York to the Commonwealth and charged with organized retail crime for robberies at an Old Navy store in the summer of 2024.
Tyeisha Bridges, 32, and Shatoya Lewis, 25, were charged late Thursday with organized retail crime, larceny over $1,200, larceny under $1,200, and conspiracy.
Both defendants pleaded not guilty to their allegations. Bridges was placed on $4,000 cash bail, while Lewis was placed on $6,000 cash bail. The Commonwealth sought that both defendants be placed on $50,000 cash bail.
Bridges and Lewis reportedly conspired to steal products from an Old Navy location in Hanover on two separate instances in the summer of 2024. On July 9, 2024, Hanover Police responded to allegations of three ladies leaving the business with bags full of apparel without paying. Local law enforcement and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office Organized Retail Crime Taskforce conducted additional investigations, and Bridges and Lewis were identified as two of the ladies engaged in the July event. The Old Navy loss prevention officers concluded that they stole 253 pieces of merchandise during this incident, resulting in losses of approximately $3,950. Bridges and Lewis were later charged in a separate incident at the same Old Navy location on August 20, 2024, in which they allegedly stole approximately $920 in items.
Both offenders were recently apprehended in New York State, taken into custody by Hanover Police detectives, and brought back to the Commonwealth to face criminal charges.
According to New York State Police, on March 13, 2025, troopers responded to a report of three people concealing products at a Kohl’s in Cortlandt Manor, NY. Troopers, with help from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), captured the suspects as they attempted to depart the store with stolen merchandise worth $6,152.88.
Further investigation connected the suspects, including a third woman, to a separate robbery at the Kohl’s store in Bedford, NY, where they reportedly stole products worth $10,020.21.
The suspects were charged on March 13, 2025, and freed on their recognizance. We then handed them over to the Town of Bedford Police Department for further investigation.
Investigators think the suspects are part of an organized retail theft ring targeting Kohl’s outlets throughout the Tri-State area.
Bridges and Lewis will next appear in court on April 29 for a pre-trial hearing.
